Frequently asked questions

What CPG Scheduler is, who it’s for, and how it fits the way a production floor actually runs.

What is CPG Scheduler?
Production-planning software for consumer-packaged-goods and food-and-beverage manufacturers. It forecasts demand, schedules production runs, tracks inventory and par levels, and flags stockout and changeover risk before they reach the floor — so the daily plan holds up against reality.
Who is it for?
Operators, production planners, and floor managers who own the daily plan at a CPG or food-and-beverage facility — the people deciding what to run, when, and in what sequence.
How does it help prevent stockouts?
It projects coverage for every SKU against live velocity and current on-hand, surfaces the SKUs trending below their reorder point, and raises operational alerts — stockout risk, data staleness, runs due — while the fix is still a routine scheduling decision instead of an emergency.
Does it handle production scheduling and changeovers?
Yes. It schedules runs against each line's capacity, minimum run gaps, crew, and blackout windows, and flags when a proposed sequence is quietly costing you capacity — a changeover that buys nothing, a cluster about to blow a due date — before you commit to it.
Can I run it without the dashboard — headless?
Yes. Production planning is decision-work that rarely needs a screen, so CPG Scheduler is operable headlessly: you point your own AI agent at our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with a token you mint, and it reads your live plan and acts on it — no GUI required.
Can an AI agent use it?
Yes — your own agent, acting as you, on your organization's data. You mint a scoped, revocable token in your profile and grant exactly the read and write scopes you want; the agent can never do anything you couldn't do yourself, and never one scope more. It is first-party access for your own agent, not a public or third-party API.
Is my data private and secure?
Your data is organization-isolated. Every read or write is scoped to the active organization and your own permissions, and agent tokens remain pinned to the organization where they were minted. Tokens are scoped, expiring, stored only as a one-way hash, and revocable instantly. Nobody you didn't authorize gets near your plan.
What data do I need to bring?
Your SKUs, current on-hand inventory, and recent sales or velocity data. The coverage projections and scheduling run against what you upload, so fresh inputs are the one thing that matters most — the math is only as current as the numbers behind it.
Can I belong to more than one organization?
Yes. If your verified identity belongs to more than one organization, you choose one during external identity-provider sign-in and can switch between existing memberships in the app. Each organization's data, settings, and permissions remain separate.
How do I get started?
An organization administrator invites you by email. Sign in through your external identity provider with that verified email, and the invitation is accepted automatically. If your verified identity does not belong to an organization yet, signing in lets you create one and become its first administrator. To explore first, try the single-organization live demo.
